How does it work?
Finasteride inhibits the production of the hormone, DHT. When levels of DHT are limited, head hair is able to re-grow as well as restrict the balding rate. Propecia will only affect hair on the head. It cannot affect any other body parts.
Dose
Generally the normal dose is one tablet daily, unless your doctor has prescribed otherwise. Propecia does not have to be taken with food. For maximum benefits, treatment should continue uninterrupted for 3 months. As soon as treatment ends, any re-growth will be lost.
If you forget to take a dose, rather leave it. Don’t double up any dose.
In the case of overdose with Propecia, there is very little likelihood of fatality, but you should be checked out by a medical professional.
Warnings/Precautions
